The Little Prince

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944), was published in April 1943 in both English and French, and soon achieved worldwide fame. Today it is a cult book, considered among the top ten must-reads for everyone. Saint-Exupéry, who won several major literary prizes in France and was a military pilot at the beginning of World War II, wrote and illustrated the manuscript while in exile in the United States. The Little Prince is a poetic tale accompanied by watercolor illustrations by Saint-Exupéry himself. It is the story of a pilot who gets lost in the Sahara desert after his plane breaks down, and there he meets a little prince from another planet, who tells him about his adventures and becomes his friend.
